Issue 29: Hajime Sorayama
THE NEW ORDER issue 29 (autumn/winter 2023), further extending the scope of the magazines global influence. The identity and vision of the bi-annual publication is represented by the diversity of the content curated and insight into talent far and wide.
THE NEW ORDER ISSUE 29 features five covers:
Highly regarded and respected rapper Freddie Gibbs is the first, photographed by Tokyo based photographer RLSWYZE. The Indiana native provides us with an in-depth interview while we spent the day running around Tokyo shooting this story.
The second cover features UFC fighter Khalil Rountree JR, photographed by renowned Kenneth Cappello. We are able to get a deeper look into the daily life of Rountree JR with Cappello shooting him at home, training and other walks of life.
Next up is a joint project between famed actor Masami Nagasawa and renown artist Kosuke Kawamura. With the amazing talent Nagasawa initially photographed by James Oliver, Kawamura reworked this imagery with his signature collage style and what he came up with was nothing short of spectacular.
Then we have singer – songwriter Omah Lay, a huge talent making all the right moves at the moment and creating a lot of noise with his own unique sound. Photographed by Adam Titchener while on tour in Europe, the outcome is something you can really appreciate.
Last but not least we have Hajime Sorayama, shot by James Oliver at his studio in Tokyo. Renowned for his silver robotic erotica, this time we pay attention to his career path as well as his latest project with sportswear giants Puma.
